Video: 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind' trailer

(Tuesday, November 15, 1977, 7:30 p.m. EST) — Close Encounters of the Third Kind, an American science fiction film about a blue-collar worker’s encounter with a UFO and how it changes him as a man, premiered tonight at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City.

Directed by Steven Spielberg, the film starred Richard Dreyfuss, Teri Garr, Melinda Dillon and François Truffaut.
