(Tuesday, January 18, 1972, evening EST) — Former Beatle John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, taped their second of five appearances today at KYW-TV in Philadelphia as co-hosts on the prestigious Emmy award-winning WBC (Westinghouse Broadcasting Corporation) afternoon talk show The Mike Douglas Show for airing in syndication on Feb. 15, 1972.

On today’s show, With A Little Help From My Friends is used as the show’s introduction, together with Oh My Love (excerpt from Imagine film).

Yoko, John, Plastic Ono Band and Elephant’s Memory perform live: Midsummer New York.

Guests included U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Jesse Steinfield, the outspoken radical Jerry Rubin, actress/filmmaker Barbara Loden and, making their television debut, the two-piece folk duo Yellow Pearl.
