(Thursday, January 27, 1972) — Former Beatle John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, taped their fourth of five appearances as co-hosts on the prestigious Emmy award-winning WBC (Westinghouse Broadcasting Corporation) afternoon talk show The Mike Douglas Show today at KYW-TV studios in Philadelphia for airing in syndication on Feb. 16, 1972.

On today’s show, Yoko and John perform Sisters O Sisters. The Crippled Inside excerpt from the Imagine film was also aired.

The highlight was performances of “Memphis, Tennessee” and later, “Johnny B. Goode” by John, Yoko, Chuck Berry, Plastic Ono Band and Elephant’s Memory.

The Lennons, Berry and Douglas also took part in a cookery demonstration by the macrobiotic food expert Hilary Redleaf. At one point, John and Chuck shared the same apron.

Other guests on the show included Joseph Blatchford, the head of Action Corps For Peace, and David Rosenbloom, the musician, composer and computer scientist.
