The Beatles: "Cry For A Shadow" (1961)

(Friday, June 23, 1961) — The Beatles (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Pete Best), an English rock band formed in Liverpool, today completed their first professional studio recording sessions (which began yesterday, Thursday, June 22) at Friedrich Ebert Halle in Hamburg, West Germany, backing Tony Sheridan on four tracks, plus recording their own Cry For a Shadow, an instrumental written by John Lennon and George Harrison.
