(Thursday, December 13, 2001) — A Beautiful Mind, a drama film based on the life of John Nash, a Nobel Laureate in Economics, premiered today in Los Angeles.

Directed by Ron Howard and written by Akiva Goldsman, the film was inspired by the Sylvia Nasar book of the same name.

It stars Russell Crowe, along with Ed Harris, Jennifer Connelly, Paul Bettany and Christopher Plummer.
