Video: 'JFK' trailer
(Tuesday, December 17, 1991) — JFK, a film which examines the events leading to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy and alleged subsequent cover-up, through the eyes of former New Orleans district attorney Jim Garrison (played by Kevin Costner), had its world premiere tonight at the Mann Village Theater in Westwood, Los Angeles, California.
While many major American newspapers would run editorials accusing director Oliver Stone of taking liberties with historical facts, the film would be nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
