(Saturday, January 29, 1972) — In a recorded telephone conversation with John Connally, U.S. President Richard M. Nixon describes what happened the previous night when a woman with the Ray Coniff singers pulled a small silk banner from the lowcut bosom of her blue evening gown and displayed it.

Flowers lashes out at ‘lying’ Clinton 20 years ago today (1992)

(Monday, January 27, 1992) — Gennifer Flowers, the woman paid by a supermarket tabloid to tell of her alleged 12-year affair with Arkansas Gov. Bill Clinton, told a Manhattan news conference today that Clinton was “absolutely lying” when he denied her charges on CBS-TV’s 60 Minutes broadcast last night.

During a sometimes-raucous news conference (click here to watch video of the news conference), Flowers refused to answer several sexually explicit questions. Neither would she discuss apparent inconsistencies in her account.
