Video: '1972 Oscar Winners'

(Tuesday, March 27, 1973, 10:00 p.m. EST) — The Godfather won three Oscars tonight at the 45th Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Marlon Brando for Best Actor (he declined). Bob Fosse won Best Director and Liza Minnelli Best Actress, both for Cabaret.

The ceremonies were held at Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles with Carol Burnett, Michael Caine, Charlton Heston, Rock Hudson as hosts.
