She was 37.

(Monday, October 15, 1923) — The New York Yankees won the 1923 World Series today, beating the New York Giants 3-1 at the Polo Grounds (IV) in upper Manhattan, New York, in the sixth and deciding game. It was the first of 27 World Series victories for the Yankees (1923-2009).
