Video: 'J. D. Tippit and the Texas Theater arrest'

(Friday, November 22, 1963, 1:15 p.m. CST) — Police officer J.D. Tippit was shot and killed today at the corner of 10th Street and Patton Avenue in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. The shooting would lead to the arrest of Lee Harvey Osland who would later be identified as the assassin of U.S. President John F. Kennedy.
