(Thursday, September 4, 1965, 11:30 p.m. WAT)Albert Schweitzer, a German—and later French—theologian, organist, philosopher, physician, and medical missionary in Africa, also known for his historical work on Jesus, died tonight in his jungle hospital in Lambarene, Gabon. He was 90 years old.
