(Monday, May 3, 1976) — Paul McCartney performed his first U.S. concert since The Beatles’ final concert on Aug. 29, 1966, tonight at the Tarrant County Convention Hall in Fort Worth, Texas, when he opened the 21-city, 31-show Wings Over America leg of his band’s Wings Over The World tour.
