(Tuesday, September 26, 2006) — The Departed, a crime drama film about an undercover cop and a mole in the police who attempt to identify each other while infiltrating an Irish gang in South Boston, premiered tonight at the Ziegfeld Theater in New York City.

Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Jack Nicholson, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Sheen, Ray Winstone, Vera Farmiga and Alec Baldwin.
