(Thursday, November 15, 1956, 8:00 a.m. EST) — Elvis Presley’s film debut, Love Me Tender, an American black-and-white CinemaScope motion picture about three brothers who unwittingly become outlaws after robbing a train the day after peacetime, premiered today at the Paramount Theater in New York City.

Directed by Robert D. Webb and Stanley Hough, the film also starred Richard Egan and Debra Paget.
