Video: 'The Beatles - Strawberry Fields Forever' (takes 5-7 at 11:26)

(Tuesday, November 29, 1966, 2:30-8:00 p.m. GMT) — The Beatles recorded two more takes of “Strawberry Fields Forever” (5-6) today at EMI Studio 2 in London.

Take 6 was a strong performance with an extended coda. Lennon added slowed down vocals and McCartney recorded a bass guitar part, and a reduction mix was made to free up two tracks on the tape. This mix became take 7, the first minute of which was eventually incorporated into the final release.
