Videos: 'First Radio Broadcast Christmas Eve 1906'

(Christmas Eve Monday, December 24, 1906, 9:00 p.m. EST) — Canadian physicist Reginald A. Fessenden today became the first person to transmit the human voice (his own) as well as music over radio, broadcasting from Brant Rock on the coast of Massachusetts.

This event is considered the beginning of amplitude modulation broadcasting, or AM radio.
