(Saturday, February 25, 1967, 2:43 p.m. EST) — Albert DeSalvo, the 35-year-old self-proclaimed “Boston Strangler,” was captured today after he entered a clothing store in Lynn, Massachusetts, to make a telephone call.
Linked to the murders of 13 women, DeSalvo and two other inmates had escaped from Bridgewater State Hospital in Bridgewater, Masscahusetts, early yesterday (Feb. 24, 1967).
