(Thursday, April 13, 1967) — Casino Royale, a British spy comedy film loosely based on Ian Fleming’s first James Bond novel about a retired Bond who goes back into action to infiltrate a nest of enemy spies, had its world premiere today in London’s Odeon Leicester Square.
Directed by Ken Hughes, John Huston, Joseph McGrath, Robert Parrish, Val Guest and Richard Talmadge (uncredited), the film starred Peter Sellers, Ursula Andress, David Niven, Woody Allen, Joanna Pettet, Orson Welles and Daliah Lavi.
