Video: 'Death of Jayne Mansfield (GRAPHIC)'

(Thursday, June 29, 1967, at approximately 2:25 a.m. CDT) — 34-year-old actress Jayne Mansfield, a major Hollywood sex symbol of the 1950s and early 1960s, was killed instantly early this morning when the car in which she was riding hit the rear of a trailer truck on U.S. 90 in Slidell, Louisiana.

Mansfield’s boyfriend, Sam Brody, 40, and their driver, Ronnie Harrison, 20, were also killed. Three children riding in the back, including Mansfield’s 3-year-old daughter, Mariska Hargitay, survived.
