(Thursday, July 11, 1957, evening EDT) — An Affair to Remember, an American romance film about a couple who fall in love and agrees to meet in six months at the Empire State Building, premiered tonight aboard the SS Constitution moored in New York City.

Directed by Leo McCarey, the film starred Cary Grant, Deborah Kerr and Richard Denning.
