Video: 'Jailhouse Rock' trailer

(Thursday, October 17, 1957) — Elvis Presley’s third film, Jailhouse Rock, an American musical drama about a young man who becomes a rock ‘n’ roll sensation after learning to play the guitar in prison, premiered tonight at Loews State Theater in Memphis, Tennessee.

Directed by Richard Thorpe, the film also starred Judy Tyler, Mickey Shaughnessy, Vaughn Taylor and Jennifer Holden.
