Video: 'How I Won The War' trailer

(Wednesday, October 18, 1967, evening BST) — All four Beatles, along with their wives and girlfriends, attended the world premiere of How I Won The War (featuring John Lennon as Private Gripweed) tonight at the London Pavilion (click here to watch video of the premiere).

Directed by Richard Lester, the black comedy film also starred Michael Crawford, Roy Kinnear, Jack MacGowran, Michael Hordern, Lee Montague and Karl Michael Vogler.

After the premiere, The Beatles attended a party at Cilla Black’s apartment in Portland Place.
