Video: ‘1/14/1978: Hubert Humphrey Dies’
(Friday, January 13, 1978, 9:25 p.m. CST) — Hubert Humphrey, the 38th Vice President of the United States from 1965 to 1969, during the administration of President Lyndon B. Johnson, and the 1968 Democratic presidential nominee, died tonight of bladder cancer at his home in Waverly, Minnesota.
Humphrey, who was 66, had also served in the Senate from 1949 to 1964 and from 1971 until his death.
