(Tuesday, February 20, 1968) — Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr of The Beatles departed New Delhi, India, today for the Academy of Transcendental Meditation in Rishikesh, reuniting with two other band members, John Lennon and George Harrison, who had arrived Feb. 16, 1968.

McCartney and Starr left New Delhi after Starr, having suffered inflammatory reaction to his travel inoculations, was given the all-clear at Willingdon Hospital.
