(Thursday, February 23, 1978, 6:00-8:00 p.m. PST) — Fleetwood Mac, the Eagles, Barbra Streisand and Debby Boone were the big winners at the 20th Annual Grammy Awards tonight at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles (click here to watch highlights from tonight’s ceremonies).

The Eagles won the award for Record of the Year for “Hotel California” and Fleetwood Mac took the Grammy for Album of the Year for Rumours.

For the first time in the 20-year history of the awards, there was a tie for Song of the Year: “Evergreen (Love Theme from A Star Is Born)” performed by Barbra Streisand and “You Light Up My Life” performed by Debby Boone.
