(Friday, March 15, 1968) — The Beatles (minus Ringo Starr, who had returned to England on Mar. 1, 1968), Donovan and others celebrated the 27th birthday of Beach Boy Mike Love today at the Academy of Transcendental Meditation in Rishikesh, India, by whipping up a song that also paid tribute to Guru Dev, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s teacher and founder of Transcendental Meditation.

Earlier in the month, these entertainers studying TM were also recorded performing a number of songs from “When The Saints Go Marching In” to “Jingle Bells” to Donovan’s “Catch The Wind.”
