Video: 'Amoco Cadiz Oil Spill'

(Thursday, March 16, 1978, 9:04 p.m. CET) — The American-owned supertanker Amoco Cadiz ran aground tonight and broke up off the Atlantic coast at Brest, France, spilling 1.6 million barrels in the largest oil spill of its kind in history to that date.
