Video: 'South Pacific' trailer

(Wednesday, March 19, 1958) — South Pacific, an American romantic musical film based on the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical South Pacific about a Navy nurse who must choose between love and prejudice during World War II, premiered tonight at the Criterion Theatre in New York City.

Directed by Joshua Logan, the film starred Rossano Brazzi, Mitzi Gaynor, John Kerr, Juanita Hall, France Nuyen and Ray Walston.
