Video: 'Beetlejuice' trailer

(Tuesday, March 29, 1988) — Beetlejuice, an American comedy-fantasy film about a recently-deceased ghost couple who hire a sleazy ghost to get rid of the obnoxious family that has invaded their now-vacant home, premiered today in New York City the day before it opened at the Criterion Center theater.

Directed by Tim Burton, the film starred Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, Catherine O’Hara, Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton.
