(Tuesday, April 15, 1958, 7:00-8:30 p.m. PST) — Playhouse 90, an American television anthology drama series, won four awards tonight at the 10th Primetime Emmy Awards, including Best Dramatic Anthology Series and Best Single Program of the Year (“The Comedian”).

Gunsmoke won Best Dramatic Series with Continuing Characters and The Phil Silvers Show won Best Comedy Series for the third consecutive year.

Ceremonies were held at the Coconut Grove in Hollywood, with with Danny Thomas as host.
