(Saturday, May 4, 1968) — The 770 feet high Oroville Dam, the tallest dam in the U.S., was dedicated by Governor Ronald Reagan today on the Feather River east of the city of Oroville, California, in the Sierra Nevada foothills east of the Sacramento Valley.
