(Thursday, May 21, 1998; shortly before 8:00 a.m PDT) — An expelled student opened fire inside Thurston High School today in Springfield, Oregon, killing two students (Ben Walker and Mikael Nickolauson) and wounding another 25 people, a day after he killed his parents.

The shooter would be sentenced to 111 years in prison without the possibility of parole.
