(Wednesday, May 29, 1968) — One day before starting work in the studio for their next album, which became known as “The White Album,” the English rock band The Beatles met today at George Harrison’s “Kinfauns” home in Esher, Surrey, for the second of two consecutive days of informal sessions to record demos of at least 27 songs.

Most of the songs, recorded on an Ampex four-track machine, were written during a Transcendental Meditation course with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Rishikesh, India, between February and April 1968.
