(Monday, June 10, 1968) — George Harrison of The Beatles, on a break from the band’s “White Album” sessions in London, was filmed for Ravi Shankar’s feature documentary Raga today at a country retreat overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Big Sur, California.

Harrison, who had traveled to California with fellow Beatle Ringo Starr on June 7, 1968, was filmed learning a new raga from Shankar.
