Video: 'Imagine: John Lennon' trailer

(Monday, October 3, 1988, evening PDT) — Imagine: John Lennon, a documentary film about former Beatle John Lennon, who was assassinated in 1980, premiered tonight at Mann’s National Theater in Los Angeles.

Directed by Andrew Solt, the film was commissioned by Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono.

None of the three former Beatles, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, or Ringo Starr, agreed to participate in the film.
