(Wednesday, November 6, 1968) — Head, an American satirical musical adventure film that follows the famous rock band The Monkees as they travel through an assortment of places in search of meaning, premiered today at the Columbia Pictures studio on West 54th Street in New York City.

Directed by Bob Rafelson, the film starred The Monkees (Peter Tork, Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz, Michael Nesmith), Victor Mature, Teri Garr, Carol Doda, Annette Funicello, Frank Zappa, Sonny Liston, Timothy Carey and Ray Nitschke.
