Video: 'Mother of All Demos - The Mouse'

(Monday, December 9, 1968) — Douglas Engelbart of Stanford University publicly demonstrated his pioneering hypertext system, “NLS”, together with the computer mouse, today at what would become retrospectively known as “The Mother of All Demos.”

Held as part of the Fall Joint Computer Conference at the San Francisco Civic Auditorium, Engelbart’s demonstration was part of his presentation “A Research Center for Augmenting Human Intellect.”
