(Friday, December 20, 1968) — Once Upon a Time in the West, an epic Spaghetti Western film about a mail-order bride who enlists an outlaw and a mystery man to help protect her land from a ruthless cattleman, premiered today in Rome.

Directed by Sergio Leone, the film starred Claudia Cardinale, Henry Fonda, Jason Robards, Charles Bronson, Gabriele Ferzetti, Woody Strode, Jack Elam, Lionel Stander, Paolo Stoppa, Frank Wolff and Keenan Wynn.
