(Tuesday, August 5, 1969, 2:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. British Summer Time; during sessions for Abbey Road) — The Beatles completed Paul McCartney’s “You Never Give Me Your Money” as McCartney prepared a four-track tape of sound-effects loops today at EMI Studio 3 in London to be overlaid on the cross-fade between his song and John Lennon’s “Sun King” during stereo mixing.
It was the sixth of 14 tracks completed for the band’s next album, Abbey Road.
