(Sunday, February 22, 1970, noon-10:00 p.m. BST) — Paul McCartney of The Beatles recorded “Maybe I’m Amazed” and “Every Nighttoday at EMI Studio 2 in London for his debut solo album McCartney.

McCartney performed all the instruments and vocals, with his wife, Linda, providing additional backing vocals for “Maybe I’m Amazed.”

McCartney had begun recording the album in secret beginning in late December 1969 at his London home on Cavendish Avenue. Recording and mixing sessions were held at Morgan Studios in London in mid-February and a mixing session was held at EMI Studio 2 on Feb. 21, 1970.

Prior to today’s session, McCartney had recorded all but three of the album’s 13 tracks either at his London home and/or at Morgan Studios:
