(Wednesday, February 25, 1970, 11:30 a.m.-9:00 p.m. BST) — Paul McCartney of The Beatles recorded “Man We Was Lonely” today at EMI Studio 2 in London, the final recording session for his debut solo album McCartney, released Apr. 17, 1970.

McCartney had begun recording the album in secret beginning in late December 1969 at his London home on Cavendish Avenue. Recording sessions were held at Morgan Studios in London in mid-February at EMI Studio 2 on Feb. 21/22/25, 1970.
