(Saturday, March 28, 1970) — Hey Jude, a collection of non-album singles and B-sides by The Beatles, peaked at #2 on today’s Billboard Top LP’s chart for four consecutive weeks.

The Hey Jude album was conceived by the band’s business manager, Allen Klein, and the band’s record label, Apple Records.

Klein authorized the release of the album as a sales buffer during post-production of the delayed Let It Be album.
