Video: 'George Harrison - "Fact or Fantasy?" Interview (1970) / Audio'
(Friday, April 10, 1970; during the Break-up of The Beatles) — As people around the world reacted to a page one headline “PAUL QUITS THE BEATLES” in today’s Daily Mirror, reporting that Paul McCartney was leaving the British rock band The Beatles, another member of the band, George Harrison, was interviewed today for the Apr. 26, 1970, edition of the BBC’s Fact Or Fantasy? religious TV series.
The interview took place in Harrison’s office at the Apple Corps headquarters in Savile Row, London. He spoke at length about his spiritual beliefs, with particular emphasis on the Krishna movement.
Also captured on film this day was another member of the band, Ringo Starr, who was caught on camera as he hastily departed the same Apple Corps headquarters building in Savile Row without comment.
