Video: 'The Doors Live At The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA May 1,1970'
(Friday, May 1, 1970, 8:00 p.m. EDT scheduled start time for opening acts Blues Image and the Staple Singers) — American rock band The Doors performed tonight at The Spectrum in Philadelphia, with approximately 14,000 people in attendance.
The start of The Doors’ show was delayed 45 minutes because the fire marshall wanted everybody to move away from the stage.
The Philadelphia concert was among the band’s several live performances professionally recorded between July 1969 and May 1970 for the group’s first live album Absolutely Live, released July 20, 1970.
