(Wednesday, May 11, 1960, 8:10 p.m. ARST) — A team of Israeli agents captured fugitive Nazi Adolf Eichmann shortly after he got off of a bus tonight near his home on Garibaldi Street in San Fernando, Argentina, just north of Buenos Aires.

Eichmann, mastermind of The Holocaust in Germany, would be held captive in a secret location for ten days until he could be flown to Israel to stand trial on 15 criminal charges, including war crimes, crimes against humanity, and crimes against the Jewish people.
