Video: 'John Lennon - I'm Losing You (At Hit Factory)'

(Tuesday, August 19, 1980; during sessions for Double Fantasy and Milk And Honey) — Former Beatle John Lennon, who returned to the recording studio 11 days ago after a five-year absence for what would turn out to be his final studio albums, Double Fantasy and Milk And Honey (both with his wife, Yoko Ono), was videotaped early this morning at The Hit Factory recording studio in New York City during a session for “I’m Losing You” with the intention of producing music videos to promote their upcoming releases.

While the video crew’s presence was recorded to have started at 9:00 p.m. EDT on Aug. 18, 1980, the camera slate for both rolls #1 and #2 were dated Aug. 19, 1980, indicating the video was likely shot Aug. 19 between midnight and when the shoot concluded at 6:00 a.m.
