(Monday, November 16, 1970; during sessions for Ram) — Paul McCartney today recorded “Heart Of The Country” at Columbia’s Studio B at 49 East 52nd Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, during sessions for Ram, his second album without The Beatles.

The track was mixed in March-April 1971.

The basic tracks for the Ram album, officially credited to Paul and Linda McCartney (McCartney’s wife), were taped through Nov. 20, 1970, with overdubs and mixing completed by May 1971.
