(Thursday, November 19, 1970; during sessions for Ram) — Paul McCartney today recorded “Little Lamb Dragonfly” at Columbia’s Studio B at 49 East 52nd Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, during sessions for Ram, his second album without The Beatles.

The track was initially mixed on July 13, 1971 at A&R Studios in New York. Overdubs were added between March and December 1972 and mixed Jan. 8, 1973, at EMI Studios in London, for release on McCartney’s album Red Rose Speedway, released Apr. 30, 1973.

Sessions for the basic tracks of the Ram album, officially credited to Paul and Linda McCartney (McCartney’s wife), wrapped up the following day, Nov. 20, 1970, with overdubs recorded beginning Jan. 3, 1971, and mixing completed in April 1971 for release on May 17, 1971.
