(Monday, December 14, 1970) — Production on Fly, an art film by former Beatle John Lennon and his wife, Yoko Ono, that shows a fly crawling over the body of a motionless naked woman, began today in a top floor loft in a derelict building in the Bowery neighborhood in the southern portion of the New York City borough of Manhattan.

The 25-minute film, along with Up Your Legs Forever (shot Dec. 9, 1970, in New York), were specifically made by Lennon and Ono to premiere at a three-evening series of films, branded as the 7 3/4 Film Festival, scheduled for Dec. 18-20, 1970, at Elgin Theater at 175 8th Avenue in New York City.
