(Saturday, March 7, 1981) — Former Beatle Ringo Starr and his fiancée, actress Barbara Bach, were interviewed today for the Mar. 31, 1981, edition of ABC’s The Barbara Walters Special to promote their film Caveman, which would open in New York City on Apr. 17, 1981.

The interview was Starr’s first known on-camera interview since the murder of his fellow ex-Beatle John Lennon on Dec. 8, 1980, in New York City.
